Rotary International is an organization of local service clubs worldwide. It started in Chicago in 1905, with Paul Harris and a number of his business acquaintences. They met weekly, moving among the members' places of business. From this, they chose to name their club "Rotary." There are now over 34,000 clubs and a 1,200,000 members worldwide. Worldwide headquarters are in Evanston, Illinois.

Service Above Self
Rotary’s main objective is service — in the community, in the workplace, and around the globe. Rotary clubs are open to people of all cultures and ethnicities and are not affiliated with any political or religious organizations. Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service and encourages high ethical standards in all vocations.

The Four Way Test
Of the things we think, say or do

  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
